Cancer can be a frightening diagnosis, but survival rates are higher than they have ever been with today’s medical knowledge and resources. For those going through cancer treatment, Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics and Harmony Hill Retreat Center co-sponsor a Cancer Support Group to provide comfort and guidance to people so they don’t have to feel alone in their journey. The next Support Group meeting is on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 6 p.m. in the Pershing Meeting Room at Mason General Hospital.
The Cancer Support Group is led by Ronnie Hacken, MA, LMFT, a cancer retreat facilitator at Harmony Hill, and meets every third Monday of the month. It is open to anyone who has been affected by a cancer diagnosis, including caregivers. For more information call MGH&FC’s Patient Navigator Karry Trout, BA, RT(R)(M), CBPN-IC at (360) 432-7706.
