State Bound Wrestlers
Nine wrestlers from Mason County are bound for state wrestling championships at the Tacoma Dome Friday and Saturday. Shelton is sending six and North Mason is sending three to Mat Classic XXVII. The Highclimbers going are Colton Paller, Gable Lacy, Alec Manke, Matti Mecham, Quinn Lacy and Quinn Rodius. The Bulldogs going are Nico Ramirez, Colton Harmon and Jahrett Schiemer.

Top Academic Wrestling Team
The Shelton girls’ wrestling team has won their second consecutive academic state championship. The Lady Highclimbers had the highest team grade point average among girls wrestling teams in Washington state. Those ‘Climber wrestlers are Matti Mecham, Quinn Lacy, Claudia Ramirez, Keva Upson, Melissa Mackintosh, Maritza Navarrette, Hannah Kegg and Elena Prest. The team will receive their award this Saturday at 9:35am during the state wrestling tournament in the Tacoma Dome.

State Bound Swimmers & Divers
Eleven Shelton Highclimbers are competing in the Boys’ Stae Swimming and Diving Championships this Friday and Saturday at the King County Aquatic Center. Shelton’s Alex Brown-Garcia will swim in the 50 and 100 freestyle. Levi Vance, Taylor Toney, Ryan Youngquist, Brayden Ordonez, Jacob Combs, Alec Dodge and Caleb Matheney will compete in the 200 and 400 free relays. And diving for the Highclimbers will be Jon Netzel, Troy Krumpols, and Zach Netzel.
