MTA Manager Resigns

MTA logoMason Transit Authority’s General Manager, Brad Patterson, has resigned. The MTA’s Board accepted his resignation Tuesday. Patterson was placed on paid administrative leave after an executive session February 2nd. An undisclosed complaint had been filed against Patterson and the Board completed an investigation. The Board reportedly asked Patterson to resign or be fired. He remains on paid administrative leave until the end of this month and will get $25,000 in severance pay.

The MTA Board appointed Finance Manager Danette Brannin as Acting General Manager effective February 3rd.

No word as to when the MTA will begin a search for a new General Manager. Patterson has been in the position since mid-November 2011.
