The Shelton boys’ basketball team kept pace with Narrows League leader Lincoln Friday night but the Highclimbers couldn’t overcome a four-point third quarter falling to the Abes 46 to 37:
Shelton hung around Lincoln and actually had a one-point lead late in the first quarter at 12 to 11. The biggest lead by the Abes in the game was 12.
Lincoln was led by Willie Thomas who scored 10 points.
Shelton’s Kyle Kimball also had 10 points, hitting three three-pointers in the first half.
The Highclmbers, now out of post season contention, dropped to 6-and-12 on the season, 3-and-9 in the Narrows League. Shelton travels to North Thurston Tuesday.

The Lady Highclimbers are now 8-and-10 overall, 3-and-9 in the Narrows League. The North Mason boys’ basketball team, trying to pick up their second Olympic League win, lost to Bremerton in double overtime 78 to 75. The Bulldogs are now 5-and-13 on the season, 1-and-9 in league play. The boys from Belfair travel to Kingston on Tuesday.

The Mary M. Knight boys’ basketball team was held to single digit scoring in the first three quarter and didn’t score in the fourth losing to Naselle Friday 57 to 12. The Owls travel to Oakville tonight (Sat. Jan. 30th).
