The Lady Rams held the Lady Highclimbers to three first quarter points and led 36 to 10 at half. That lead grew to 40 points after three quarters and there was a running clock in the fourth. The Shelton girls drop to 7-and-8 on the season, 2-and-7 in the Narrows League. They travel to Central Kitsap Friday.
In the boys’ game, Wilson jumped out to a 26 to 3 first quarter lead and didn’t look back. The Rams’ David Jenkins Jr. led the way with 19 points while Emmit Matthews Jr. added 15. Shelton played better in the final three quarters but couldn’t gain ground. Kobe Bogh led the ‘Climbers with 16 point and Kyle Kimball added 11. The Shelton boys are now 5-and-10 on the season, 2-and-7 in the Narrows League. Friday, they host Central Kitsap in a game that will be streamed live by MasonWebTV.com and Hood Canal Communications’ HCC.net.
The Mary M. Knight girls’ basketball team held North River scoreless in the first quarter on the way to a 55 to 12 win. The Owls were led by Kaylee Sowle and Jaycee Valley. Sowle scored 20 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and had 5 assists. Valley added 15 points, 8 steals, 8 assists and 7 boards. The girls’ from Matlock are 9-and-2 on the season, 5-and-1 in the Coastal 1B League. They host Taholah on Saturday.
