The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory which now in effect until 6 AM Monday. Look of periods of light snow to fall through the early morning hours. Snow may mix with sleet or freezing rain Monday morning before transitioning to rain by Monday afternoon. Snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are possible. Minor ice accumulation is also possible especially south and east of Tacoma after midnight.Roads will become slippery as temperatures will likely stay near or below freezing. This includes the I-5 Corridor from the King and Pierce county line southward. These conditions will cause travel difficulties. So be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
