The Shelton boys’ basketball team couldn’t keep up with Clover Park Wednesday as the Highclimbers fell to the Warriors 60 to 51.
Shelton jumped out to an 8-0 lead but Clover Park battled back and with a 20-point second quarter to take an eight-point lead at halftime. The second half saw the Warrior slowly pull away, taking advantage of Highclimber turnovers.
Shelton’s Kyle Kimball lead all scorers with 15 points. Drew Cruse added 13 (hitting three 3-pointers). Ty Fisher chipped in 9 points. And Tyler Giraldes added 8. The Highcilmbers were without Kobe Bogh who was sick.
Clover Park had four players score in double figures: Dakari Jefferson scored 14 points, Davien Harris-Williams added 13 point (hitting 3 three-pointers and going 4 for 4 at the free throw line). And 11 points each from SemaJ Booker and Jeremiah Morris.
Shelton drops to 5-and-4 on the season. They travel to Hoquiam on Tuesday.
