The Shelton basketball teams beat North Mason Monday night. The Lady ‘Climbers won 50 to 33 at the Mini Dome while the Shelton boys won in Belfair 61 to 46:
The Highclimbers built an early 8-point lead but the Bulldogs were able battle back and take a brief lead in the first half, finding themselves down by only a point at halftime. It was in the third quarter when Shelton started to slowly inch away only to be stopped by the boys from Belfair as they would chip away the ‘Climbers’ lead. In the fourth quarter, North Mason had to start fouling and Shelton players hit their free throws down the stretch to come away with their fifth victory.
Kyle Kimball led the Highclimbers with 21 points. Marshall McCullough and Kobe Bogh each added 11 points. Kevin Burrell-Briggs led the Bulldogs in the loss with 17 points.
Shelton improves to 5-and-3 on the season. They host Clover Park Wednesday in a game that MasonWebTV.com and Hood Canal Communications’ HCC.net will video stream.
North Mason drops to 4-and-5 on the season. They are off until January 5, 2016 when they travel to Sequim.
The Shelton girls’ basketball team improve to 5-and-4 on the Season. The Lady-‘Climbers now have a 5-and-4 record. They host Hoquiam next Tuesday, December 29, 2015 in a game that MasonWebTV.com and HCC.net will provide a live video stream.
The North Mason girls’ basketball team is also 5-and-4 on the season. The girls from Belfair don’t have another game scheduled until January 5, 2016 when they host Sequim.
