A high wind warning is in effect from 8 AM this morning (Tues. Nov. 17) to 6 PM tonight. Forecasters expect south or southwest wind 20 to 40 MPH with gusts near 60 MPH today. The strongest winds will probably start around 10 AM and continue through 4 PM. Winds this high can down trees, damage property and cause power outages.
Heavy rain at times is also expected today. With a 100% chance of precipitation, expect between 1 and 2 inches of rain to fall. Rain will decrease tonight by 10 PM.
