SPLASH (Support & Preserve Lifelong Aquatic Safety & Health) of Mason County would like to thank Mason General Hospital and Family of Clinics, SHS alumni, and the residents, businesses and service organizations of Shelton for their support during the fundraising on behalf the high school pool.
“Because of the tremendous effort, we were able to make a difference for our students and for our community,” said Jacquie MacAlevy, president of SPLASH. “In just a few months we raised well over $120,000, largely through donations. We are pleased to have been able to partner with MGH, the community, and the school district to make this happen.”
Presently, SPLASH is making plans for future fundraising and for possible repair needs at the pool, including resurfacing and ADA upgrades.
“We want to be ready for the potential needs at the pool in the upcoming years. We are looking ahead and are pleased to continue working with MGH and the school district moving forward,” MacAlevy said.
