No one was injured when a box truck crashed on Highway 302 near Victor Thursday morning. According to the State Patrol, the 2005 Freightliner van was westbound on SR-302 about 8 AM. At milepost 4.5, near Victor Road, the driver looked down at his GPS and the van went partially into the westbound ditch. He then attempted to correct the box truck to the left and lost control. The van then turned perpendicular to the road and went down the eastbound embankment.
There were two people in the vehicle. The driver was identified as Sedrick Bernard Bryant, 30 of Renton, and his passenger was Rigoberto Palacios Herrera, 31 of Federal Way. And again neither were injured.
The Trooper’s report indicates the cause of the crash was inattention by Bryant and he does face charges – likely in the form of a citation.
