Lincoln flew past Shelton 54 to 3 Friday night. The Abes started quickly with a 65-yard touchdown run by Dionte Simon on the first play from scrimmage and ended up in the end zone seven more times as they improved to 4-and-0.
The highlights for the Highclimbers included a 25-yard field goal by Cody Bragg and two fumble recoveries. Shelton quarterback Tyler Giraldes completed 16 of 36 passes for 119 yards. Gabe Reyna caught nine of those passes for 77 yards with two big gains of 24 and 25 yards. Willy Ruiz had 45 yards rushing. Kyle Kimball had two catches for 25 yards. And Colton Paller punted three times pinning Lincoln on the 5 and 11 yard lines with the third punt just hitting the end zone for a touch back. The ‘Climbers drop to 2-and-2 on the season, 1-and-1 in the 3A Narrows League. Shelton travels to Tacoma next Friday to face Wilson at Stadium Bowl. The Rams are 1-and-3 but picked up their first win Friday beating Mt. Tahoma 49 to 8. Kickoff next Friday is 7 PM.
North Mason fell to Kingston 17 to 6. The Bulldogs are now 1-and-3 on the season, 1-and-1 in the Olympic League. The boys from Belfair head to North Kitsap next Friday. The Vikings are 2-and-2 on the season after beating Sequim 27 to 10. Kickoff in Poulsbo is 7 PM.
