Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics was recently notified by the American College of Radiology (ACR) that its CT program passed the ACR’s highest standard of accreditation in quality and safety, identifying MGH&FC’s CT program among the best in the country.
ACR accreditation is the “gold” standard in the industry. It grants accreditation to facilities nationwide in ten modalities, including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Mammography capabilities. The CT certification process involves a comprehensive review of the entire CT system, which includes staff, policies, procedures and scanning protocols, in addition to the quality of the images produced.
“I want to acknowledge the entire CT staff for their dedication and support, on a daily basis, that made this achievement possible,” said Michael Gray, R.T., director of MGH&FC’s Diagnostic Imaging. “I would also like to congratulate and recognize CT Lead Technologist Shane Faford for his hard work in preparing all of the images and the pages of documentation that were submitted along with our application for this prestigious award.”
MGH&FC is approved by the Joint Commission, and is a licensed and accredited acute care hospital with a level four emergency trauma designation. There are more than 100 physicians on staff in 19 specialties. For more information go to www.MasonGeneral.com.
