Donations to SPLASH (Support & Preserve Lifelong Aquatic Safety & Health) were slightly lower during the past holiday week with approximately $4000 being given. About $71,000 has been donated since the beginning of June with an additional $29,000 more still needing to be raised in the next couple of weeks to fully fund the mechanical room, grate replacement and plaster repair work needed at the high school pool facility.
“We would like to thank everyone who has donated so far. We are very close to funding the entire project, we have just a couple weeks to make this happen. We are over 70% toward our goal, but we need the continued help of the community to keep the poo open and functioning.” said Jacquie MacAlevy, President of SPLASH.
To participate in SPLASH’s ongoing donation drive, pool repair donations of any amount can be sent to SPLASH, PO Box 1982, Shelton WA 98584. Pool donations can also be made to the Mason General Hospital Foundation by either sending a check marked for pool repairs to MGHF, PO Box 1668, Shelton, WA 98584 or online at masongeneral.com.
