Special Three Day Candidate Filing Period

The Mason County Auditor’s Elections Department announces a Special Three Day Filing Period – July 7-9, 2015, for eight offices as no one filed for these positions during the regular filing period.

Candidates can file online via the website www.co.mason.wa.us/elections or in person at the Elections Department at 411 N. 5th St Shelton during business hours, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

All candidates that file during the special three day filing will only appear on the General Election ballot. This is true even if 3 or more candidates file. Additionally, there is no withdrawal period during a special three day filing period.

The following positions are open for the three day filing and they all have no filing fee.

Mason County Cemetery District
Commissioner Position No. 1, Two-Year Unexpired Term
Commissioner Position No. 2, Six-Year Short and Full Term
Commissioner Position No. 3, Four-Year Unexpired Term

Fire Protection District No. 1
Commissioner Position No. 1, Two-Year Unexpired Term

Port of Dewatto
Commissioner District No. 2, Six-Year Term

Port of Grapeview
Commissioner District No. 1, Six-Year Term

Grapeview School District No. 54
School Board Position No. 5, Four-Year Term

Tahuya River Water District
Commissioner Position No. 3, Two-Year Unexpired Term
