A flood advisory is now in effect for the Skokomish River. The National Weather Service says the lull in precipitation Wednesday allowed the Skokomish to drop below the 16.5-foot flood stage so forecasters replaced the flood warning with the flood advisory. Another storm came onshore overnight causing the River to rise again and it is now just above flood stage. Another flood warning is expect for the Skokomish although only minor flooding is expected. The River crested at just over 16.7 feet Wednesday morning and after its current rise, the Skokomish is expected to slowly recede as drier weather is forecast.
We will see scattered showers today, freezing fog tonight and Friday morning but no rain is in the forecast until Saturday night.
