Political Op/Ed by Dawn Peet, Shelton: A BREATH OF FRESH AIR

op-ed2

The ballots will be dropping next week.  I have taken extra time this election cycle to learn about the candidates.  Of course all of them insist their way is the right way.  Such is politics.  But my vote this time will be for fresh blood in Olympia.  Seriously, is your life any better than it was two years ago?  Has the economy improved?  How about schools and transportation?  Do you see any growth in Mason County?  Me neither.  It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that the future is not looking too bright under the leadership of Kathy Haigh.  So why would we send her back?  I’d like to see what Dan Griffey can do for our district.  I want a legislator who cares about our freedoms, our schools and our pocketbooks, and I know that Dan cares.  For those who would say he lacks experience – they all did at one time, did they not?  The incumbent hasn’t proven to me that she deserves two more years.  It’s time for a much needed breath of fresh air in Olympia.

VOTE GRIFFEY
