The North Kitsap football team was too much for North Mason. The Vikings were up 37 to 0 at halftime and had a 44-0 lead before the Bulldogs found the end zone late in the third quarter. The final score was North Kitsap 50, North Mason 8. The Vikings remain undefeated in five games while the boys from Belfair dropped to 3-and-2 on the season, 2-and-1 in the Olympic League. North Mason travels to Sequim next Friday. The Wolves are 3-and-2 on the season but 1-and-1 in the League play.
The Shelton football team scored twice in the first quarter and once in the second but was shut out in the second half as Wilson scored 21 unanswered points and the Rams beat the Highclimbers 35 to 20. Shelton’s Brian Nault caught a 10-yard touchdown pass from Jake Beck and ran eight yards for another TD. Jake Henry scored the ‘Climbers’ first touchdown on a 2-yard run. Shelton drops to 1-and-4 on the season, 0-and-3 in the 3A Narrows League. The Highclimbers travel to Silverdale Stadium next Friday to take on Central Kitsap. The Cougars are 2-and-3 on the season.
The Mary M. Knight football team picked up its first win Saturday beating Oakville 24 to 12. The Owls had two passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. The boys from Matlock improved to 1-and-3 on the season. MMK travels to Naselle next Friday night.
