After dominating the first two rounds of the Class 2A West Central District III Tournament Friday and qualifying for State, the North Mason fastpitch softball team dropped their next two games to take the fourth seed. The Bulldogs lost to White River 12 to 3 in their first game Saturday and then fell toPort Angeles7 to 4. The girls from Belfair were unable to score runs on the second day of the tourney like they did on the first day when they pushed 32 runs across. North Mason left nine batters on base against the Hornets and stranded five against the Roughriders. The Bulldogs’ pitching wasn’t as sharp Saturday either as Amanda Johnson gave up 19 hits toWhite Riverand Tristan Stromberg allowed 12 in the PA game. On Friday, Johnson allowed seven hits in seven innings against Franklin Pierce and five hits in two innings against Sumner while Stromberg pitched three innings of four-hit ball against the Spartans.

Tristan Stromberg went 3 for 4 at the plate with an RBI and a run scored.
Julie Johnson was 2 for 4 with two RBI.
Abby Marshall and Kori Frohlich both went 2 for 4 at the plate.
Kimber Bolin was 2 for 3.
Marissa Brown and Jordan Stromberg both were 1 for 3.
