Weekend Regional Wrestling Results; State Wrestling Matchups; State Swimming; MMK Girls In Districts

North Mason and Shelton Wrestlers participated in Regional Wrestling Tournaments over the weekend.
At the Class 2A Region II Tournament, the Bulldogs’ Matt Zink placed 2nd at 113 pounds, Tyler Grewell finished 2nd at 160 pounds, Chase Davis was 2nd at 195 pounds, Grant Hunter was 4th at 145 pounds and Victor MaIntosh placed 4th at 182 pounds. 
At the Class 3A Region III Wrestling Tournament, the Highclimbers’ Riley Riffe finished 4th at 113 pounds. 
Here are the matchups for Mason County wrestlers in the State Tournament, Mat Classic XXVI:
Shelton‘s Katilin Woods faces Heidi Chambers from Mt. Baker at 124 pounds in the girls’s State Wrestling Tournament.
The Highclimbers also have Riley Riffe taking on Benjamin Dixon from Mountain View in the first round of the Class 3A Tournament at 113 pounds.
North Mason has five wrestlers in the Class 2A Tournament:
Matt Zink takes on Tumwater’s Logan Greenwell at 113 pounds
Grant Hunter faces Tysen Campbell from Granite Falls at 145 pounds
Tyler Grewell against Ephrata’s Bryce Unruh at 160 pounds
Victor McIntosh takes on Trevor Eicher from Deer Park at 182 pounds
Chase Davis faces Sam Richards from Tumwater at 195 pounds
Mat Classic XXVI runs Friday and Saturday at the Tacoma Dome. 
Shelton has swimmers participating in the Class 3A Boys’ Swim and Dive Championships Friday and Saturday at the King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way. The Highclimbers will be in the 200 Medley Relay and the 200 Freestyle relay. Those in individual events are Harrison MacAlevy in the 50 Freestyle and the 100 Backstroke; and Jon Netzel, Luke Netzel, Zach Netzel and Troy Krumpols in the 1 Meter Dive.
The Mary M. Knight girls’ basketball team plays Columbia Adventist in the Class 1B District Tournament at Castle Rock High School at 4 PM Monday, February 17, 2014 in a winner to state-loser out contest. The Kodiaks beat Oakville Saturday 43 to 30 in the first round of the tournament. The Owls had a first round bye. The winner of Monday’s game plays the winner of the Taholah/Lake Quinault game at 4 PM Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Montesano High School for the Southwest District 4 Championship and seeding in the regional round of the State Tournament. If the girls’ from Matlock win Monday’s game, MasonWebTV.com will provide a live video stream of Saturday’s game.
