The Mason County Commission adopted the 2014 Budget at a special meeting Tuesday – the last day of 2013. The Budget totals $91,908,576. That’s $33,809,280 for the General Fund Budget and $58,099,296 for special funds. Some of the specifics in the 2014 Budget: $11,172,695 for the Sheriff; $1,000,931 for Superior Court; $9,617,631 for Equipment Rental & Revolving Fund; $3,968,681 for the Belfair Wastewater & Water Reclamation Fund; and $19,299,114 for the Road Fund. The vote on the budget was two to one. Commissioner Tim Sheldon praised his fellow Commissioners for their work on the Budget but voted against it saying he believes the County is on an unsustainable track:
