A sex offender is now homeless in Shelton. According to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, 26-year-old Roland Kenneth Douglas has recently registered as a transient/homeless sex offender. Douglas is required to register as a sex offender due to multiple sex crime convictions. In 2007, he pleaded guilty to Communication with a Minor For Immoral Purposes. This conviction stems from Douglas, at age 19, having sexual intercourse on multiple occasions with a 15-year-old-girl. In 2010, Douglas was found guilty of Rape of a Child 3rd Degree. This conviction stems from Douglas, at age 21, sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl that was a stranger. The Sheriff’s Office has assessed Douglas as a Level 2 Sex Offender and he is considered at a moderate risk to re-offend. Roland Kenneth Douglas is a white male, 5-foot-8, 140 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. And again Roland Douglas recently registered as “Transient/Homeless within Shelton”.
