The effort to save the Mason County Fairgrounds has asked the Mason County Commission to send its petition to the Federal Aviation Administration. This petition would help bolster the County’s letter earlier this year asking the FAA to remove restrictions on the property and allow the Fairgrounds to stay at its current location. This request came during the Mason County Commission’s Tuesday business meeting and the Commissioners reminded those in attendance that the future of the Fairgrounds is in the hands of the Port of Shelton Commission but did suggest calling the State’s Congressional Delegation for help in the matter:

The Port of Shelton Commission says the FAA will allow renting of the Fairgrounds on a temporary event by event basis as long as there is a plan in place to relocate the Fairgrounds.
